"blocked::" URLs (by Outlook 2003)

Outlook 2003 (Win XP) inserts a "blocked::" prefix before the URL in an
inserterd hyperlink.

The link is very long, so I'm trying to insert a typical HTML link: short
text, long URL behind.
Outlook inserts this ridiculous "blocked::" thing before my "http://". The
recipients who are using Outlook 2003 can use the link, others can't.

Is there a way to turn this "feature" off?

A side note to MS: it isn't apparently possible to do a search for
"blocked::" in any of your help systems. It's just searching for "blocked"
and givng me resuts I don't really care for.
Grow up, guys!

I know of no Outlook feature that would do that. You may need to look
elsewhere for the cause.

Thanks for looking at it, Sue!

OK, I double-checked: the link I am copying from an existing document is
strange, if not illegal, which may be the cause of the issue: it has
"
inside. To be precise, it's like this: http://whatever.co
http://whatever.com
I.e. what's before and after
" is the same.

I created a new link in MS Word from scratch, and the copying worked fine.
So, the problem seems to be solved, but still, that "feature" does seem to
exist. If you want me to, I can forward the original thing to you for
experimenting.

Thanks for your help again,
Graig
