Blocked Senders list in Outlook Express

R

Rob

I keep getting a load of Spam e mails. I use the Block Sender option in
outlook express. The problem I have is that when I view the Blocked Senders
List after shutting down the PC, it has lost all the senders that I deleted
from the previous use!!! (confused...yep, I am as well)

Is the list keeping all the ones I previously added or is it losing them. If
it is losing them, how do I get it to keep all the blocked senders??

Cheers in advance.

You're confused??? You stated that the senders you *deleted* are lost. There
not lost, there gone because you deleted them.

Also, trying to keep up with the spammers using Blocked Senders List is a
waste of time since they are constantly changing their address.

If that was your true e-mail address you posted in this NG, you can expect
more spam on the way. NG's are a gold mine for spammers to get addresses.
Change it to something like (e-mail address removed).

To be honest, it's hardly woth adding spammers to this list, as they change
the email address all the time anyway.

Besides what the others said about the uselessness of Block Senders for
spam, The Registry key has probably become corrupt.
Go to Start | Run and type
regedit
and navigate to this key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook
Express\5.0\Block Senders

Right click it and select Delete. (Make sure that you only selected Block
Senders.)

Then you will have to rebuild your list.
