Blocked incoming e-mails

I am having trouble recently with IE provided byYahoo.At least 3 reputable senders that I am aware of appear to be blocked.
How can I resolve this?

the common practice is, to add them to your address book.

Yahoo don't "supply" IE, and IE should have nothing to do with your emails.

Yahoo are, in my honest opinion, crap, however, I too have to suffer the indignities brought about by BT Yahoo. Fortunately I use gmail for 99.9% of my email needs.
