blocked contacts

how do i delete blocked contacts in windows messenger?
someone i don't know or want to has added me to thier
contact list and all it would let me do is block the
contact. i see no option for deleteing blocked contacts ??

Do you mean to say you now want to let them contact you?

I noticed several lines in the registry that layout the blocked
contacts...was thinking to delete all the lines just so the couple I didn't
have control over weren't there (long gone or passed on)... I think if you
do a find on block(ed).. you will eventually come to a page with the list of
all the blocked contacts.... Any one else tried this??

i would like to get rid of the name, the contact not just
block it.

I've never tried it, but from what I can find you should
be able to get it off by contacting that user and politely
asking them to remove you from their contact list. As
long as you are on their list it won't matter if you can
delete it-it will just reappear next time you use
messenger. Bear in mind that I have never tried this and
see no need to do so. Don't let the little stuff bug you.

this contact that i want to delete is a spamer, i don't
want any contact with them, if one can do it, then it
will happen again. your right about the gray area jon. is
there any file or place in my puter i could look for this
name, tryed search, nothing. any ideas?

If you mean in the Privacy Tab blocked list, you can

right-click their name and choose

Delete. However, this Delete option will only be

available if they've removed you off their

main contact list. Otherwise, the option will be grayed

out and you cannot remove them.

Hi,

This is all done on the server, and as such, there's no magic registry setting or anything
else that you can do to remove them -- they're stuck in there.
