Block High Level Domains in IE6?

Is there any possible way to completely block a high level domain (such as
..ca, .biz, or .com) in Internet Explorer 6?

A bulletin on Microsoft's web site said it cannot be done using wildcard
characters in the internet Security settings, but there must be some way to
block such domains.

By the way, there is a good reason for me to do this, but an explanation
really isn't that germane to the fundamental question above (and would
simply be too long-winded).

Thanks for your kind assistance.

Hi Dwight,

No, you can't use wildcards. The HOSTS file requires individual entries.

You could set up your own DNS server and block access at that level.

Kind regards

Hans
