"Blind" recipients

If using BCC does not show the other recipients names, does it indicate in any way the others who are receiving it too? Some of my received mail says name of who sent it, 1st, and "unnamed recepients", 2nd. Does doing that take a different program?

Chances are what the sender is doing in that case is creating a blank
distribution list with the title Unknown Recipients or something like that.
They also might put their own address in that sort of Distribution list.
It's just a way of making the email look like it was addressed to such a
recipient while putting the actual recipients in the BCC field.
