Blank Search Page AND script errors in IE6

D

Dave

Win 2000 machine, recently upgraded to SP4 and IE6.

When clicking the Search button, the display window comes up blank,
except for the header. When I click to customize, the next window
opens, but then gives several script errors.

Also, we have a hyperlink to build a shopping basket for Boise. When
this link is clicked, nothing happens. In the lower left it says
"error on page".

To complicate this further, if I log in to the machine with an admin
ID, this problem doesn't exist. It is only under an end user account
that this occurs.

I uninstalled/reinstalled IE6 (which fixed another problem with blank
pop-up pages), but didn't fix this problem.

I deleted & rebuilt the local profile figuring that may reset whatever
settings were messed up ... didn't work.

I'm guessing there may be another problem with the javascripting, but
can't seem to find the right resource to reinstall this.

Any input is greatly appreciated!

Hi,
Some of these problems may be caused by malware. Work through the solutions
(CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm Also note the security tips on that
page.

You could refresh the scripting engine from:
Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 2000 and XP

Hope this helps,
