Then, as I said, it is NOT a Windows problem. Windows has not even started
to load at that point. You said, "as soon as I turn the computer on", which
I take to mean in less than 5 seconds, and before ANYTHING has appeared on
the screen.
You will need to check your hardware: motherboard, power supply, cables,
graphics card, monitor.... the list is just about endless. Since your first
message mentioned the CD drive, you might want to start by unplugging that.
Is the cable plugged in backwards? What kind of interface: SCSI, USB, IDE?
Is it internal or external? If your computer is under warranty, have the
vendor adjust, repair or replace it.
You can see your computer, but we can't. All we know about it is what
you've told us - which is practically NOTHING! We don't know make or model,
new or old, laptop or desktop...NOTHING about it!
