blank screen trying to restart

initial problem was shutdown while on the internet(system shutdown intiated
nt authority\system rpc service terminated unexpectedly) a little research
pointed to possible blaster worm checked for it it said not detected then I
tried to install updates. now it won't restart. it comes up to start in safe
mode screen choices and you pick one it goes to xp screen then goes blank. I
tried a set up disc from microsoft it gave me biosinfo.inf could not be
loaded error code 4104. can anybody please tell me what to try next? thanks

Try using the BIOS setup to reset defaults.
