Blank Screen at Startup

Hello, when I start up my computer, I get to the login screen. When I click
on a username to log in (i don't use a password to log in) it gives me a
black screen with no visible pointer arrow.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

Start in Safe Mode by continuously tapping the F8 key.

Run System Restore to a time before the problem began.

Restart normally.

In safe mode you can install new video card drivers if system restore
doesn't solve your problem.
