Black Screen

hey guys i been going to alot of forums for a while trying to figure whats wrong with my computer and i wounder if you guys could tell me. alright this is what happens i'll load up Halo or CSS and after a few mins of gameplay my screen goes black i cant do nothing cant hear just black so i need to restart it, i've cleaned my computer inside blowing out the dust, re installed the games and still same problem, my video card is nVidia 7600 GS and it's been updating to the newest, also when i installed new video card it didn't pass threw the logo testing could be that but i still continued because nVidia forums said it was ok

does this happen with other games, or programs? (ie listening to music, surfing)

i only have 2 games, Halo and CSS and it only happens mostly when i'm playing Halo, never happens while surfing net or music just games, i gave my computer to the person who built it he told me it was ok so i don't know...

i want to say that its overheating... but it sounds like it happens too soon.
are any of the components overclocked?

my brother asked me if i overclocked the computer i just said i unno because i don't know what that means...

nope this started to happen when steam told me to update my video drivers and i did, right after that gaming on my computer when downhill, but last month when the guy looked at my computer i was playing no problem but then last week it started again, and the funny thing is i don't even play alot of games and when i do its like for a hour

Download this driver, then uninstall the nividia video drivers you have now (control panel, add or remove programs).

Restart your computer when asked.

Then install the new one. Restart when asked and then play either one of you games to see if it corrected any problems.

its the US english ones, dont know if the international ones are for Canada as well

lol nevermind, anyways i'm downloading it right now, is that suppost a new version or older?

new version, hopefully it may work, if not then at least you have the latest video drivers :)

are they the right ones? if you forgot my drivers are nVidia 7600 GS and i have the newest already
