Black Screen at Startup

Hello everyone! I'm new here in the community. I've been using Windows XP for
some months and I'm pretty happy with it. I usually format the hard disk and
install Windows XP again to improve the performance or if its been infected
by a virus. One day when I downloaded .NET Frameword 2.0, during the
installation suddenly my computer automatically restarted and after the BIOS
Boot, the WindowsXP Loading screen doesn't appear. I tried to make everything
right in the BIOS but still the black screen appears. When I press F8, it
says select a boot drive first; I chose Hard Disk and after that the same
thing. I tried to re-install WindowsXP with boot from CD. When I press a key
to boot from CD, the screen saying checking your hardware configuration....or
something like that appears. But after some time, the black screen again
appears. The same happens with Windows 98 Bootable CD. Here is my hardware
listings:
1. Genuine Intel D101GGC Motherboard
2. 512MB DDR RAM
3. Seagate Sata 160GB
4. Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2
5. Intel Award BIOS Utility
Please help me in this serious issue. Thanks in advance!

There should be an option in the BIOS to go back to the manufacturer
default. Have you tried that?

Its very confusing when you start another thread, in a different ng, and
then give a different explanation as to what you have done

Well DL, this is the full explanation of my problem. I think I'll get more
answers to this question if i'll post it in these to pages. And Frank, I have
tried to reset everything all to default in my bios. Instead, the default
configuration for plug and play devices gets to NO. I think it better ON.
Well for DL, this is my full and actual problem given in detail. Seems that
you check almost every page of Windows XP Newsgroups. That's good because you
can help many others like me and also get help from other people.

microsoft .Net framework 1.1 or 2.0 wont cause your problem, this is
only a framework that installs in the GAC, it is only used to operate
software programs developed with the .Net framework

I dont think Microsoft would introduce there own software product to
ruin there main operating system that is required to run the framework.

your problem is elsewhere

So is there an answer to my basic problem? Not including .NET Framework 2.0?
Can anybody tell me how to post problems to Microsoft as they put many
articles in online Help and Support Center which are based on public
questions. Isn't there a Microsoft MVP or Professional around who can give an
answer to this problem?
