Birthdays and Anniversaries not appearing in Calendar 2003

I've just received Office 2003 and have upgraded from Office XP. Moving
over has been completely painless, but I was advised to create a new 2003
PST and move things over to it from my 97-2002 POST. My mail has gone over
fine, my contacts have gone over, and I will sync my tasks and calendar from
either MSN or my PDA.

But what hasn't moved over are the dates of Birthdays and Anniversaries that
I entered into my Contacts in Outlook. For example, I entered my brother's
birthday in his contact with his address, e-mail, etc., but the birthday
does not appear in my Calendar any more. In Outlook XP it appeared
automatically in Calendar after I had entered it into Contacts.

Why doesn't it appear in Outlook 2003? Did I forget to move something over?

Creating a new .pst file was completely useless advice - please don't say
Woody Leonhard!

Outlook 2003 will use your .pst file from previous versions of Outlook.
When you say you moved your items from the old to the new, how did you do
this? Import? Drag and drop?

To get the anniversaries and birthdays to once again show in the calendar,
you will need to modify them in each contact record. It is just a matter of
typing one of the same characters to modify the contact and have the
information appear in the calendar.
