BIOS problem in installing windows xp

at startup i get this bluescreen error:

"The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant.
Please contact your system vendor or visit
http://www.hardware-update.com for an up[dated BIOS. If
you are unable to obtain an updated NIOS or the lastest
BIOS supplied by your vendor is not ACPI compliant, you
can turn off ACPI mode during text mode setup. To do this,
simply press the F7 key when you are prompted to install
storage drivers. The system will not notify you tht the F7
key was pressed - it will silently disable ACPI and allow
you to continue your installation."

What do i do? I have gone to that url and there is nothing
there. Please help

Visit the manufacturer's site for your make of computer or motherboard
and see if a BIOS update is available for your motherboard. Or when
trying to install XP just press F7 as instructed, keep your eyes on the
screen, at the early stages you will be asked if you want to install
Mass Storage Device drivers, just press F7 instead.

Thank you John for your help.
As you said I pressed F7 when I was installing windows and again a long
blue screen error
appeared.

" Check to be sure you have adequate disk space . If driver is
identified un the stop message
disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates .
Try changing video adapters.
Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates.
Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing .
If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components ,
restart your computer press F8 to select advanced startup options
and then select safe mode."

I must say that when I want to boot from the previous windows when I
select
start windows normally or safe mode or other option the system
restarts.

can you tell me what to do now?

How old is the computer and what are the specs for it? Is it adequate
for XP installation? What do you mean when you say "boot from the
previous windows..."? Are you trying to upgrade a previous Windows version?

My computer is new and it had a windows xp on it .
When I turn on the power this morning the windows didn't start up and
the
system restarted.
I try to install new windows or repair the old one and see the blue
screen error that I wrote
before.

If the computer is new I suggest that you call the support department
and report the problems to them. There might be special hardware or
software issues with the computer. Stuff like GoBack or faulty RAM can
cause the type of problems you describe. Hopefully they have a good
support department and can walk you through this.
