BIOS BEEPS

Hi, Hope someone can help. My computer locked up so I had to do a hard
shutdown, on reboot all I get is a Long Beep(about 1.5 sec.) then about 10
sec. it beeps again and repeats.

In general you have a hardware failure. Your computer manual should have a
list of the beep patterns and what they mean. They vary from machine to
machine so no generic answer to specific problem.

If this is a desktop unit, the general procudure is to remove all devices
other than the display and and one memory stick and see if it will boot up
(at least to the bios) then add devices back in till it fails to boot again,
that is your problem device.

Not much help unfortunatly.

You have hardware failure. This has nothing to do with Vista. The beep
is an audible code telling you what is wrong. Audible codes differ from
motherboard to motherboard. Since you told us nothing about your
computer, I can only give you a general recommendation to take it back
to wherever you bought it for repair/replacement.
