Better Access Templates

Susan

I'm looking for a way to combine the inventory and the
purchasing templates so that they work together. My
husband and I have a small business and don't want to
spend a lot of money buying a "corporate" program like JD
Edwards.

I need to track my inventory and update it based on
incoming product and product we sell. Can anyone tell me
how to do this? Thanks.

Consider using the Northwinds sample database as your template. It's
relatively easy, and perfectly legal as long as you don't attempt to
redistribute it as your own. Create a new, blank database, import in the
tables (sans data) and other objects from NW that you need, then have at
it. But I'd recommend spending time practicing with the example data
already entered in Northwinds, to give you a sense of how to develop and
customize a database, and how to interact with your data.

Hope this helps,

LeAnne
