Beta programs read system date incorrectly

Two programs, one being microsoft spyware beta - reverse the way they display
the date. For example, today i tried to install the spyware beta and it came
up with a message that the version expired on "July 5, 1931" (and tells me to
get a newer version from microsoft) when I understand the message should read
"will expire on July 31, 2005". How can I fix this? (Windows XP)

Beta . . . . Problems . . . . What don't you get? Use ASW that isn't a
Beta!

That is not even the format Microsoft uses to display the information.

They display it as: This version expires on: 7/31/2005.

Seeing as how that is part of their message embedded in the Help/ABOUT
information, and is not dependent on the system clock, I don't see any way
that you are seeing what you say you see.

Please post a screen shot of the window where you see this so that we can
see what you are talking about!

When the window is open press the alt/prtScn key combination. This will copy
the active window to your clipboard. Now open Paint. Go to edit/paste and
click on paste. The window will be there. Now you can go to File/Save As.
Choose to save the file as a JPEG (much smaller in size). Give it a name and
save. Then you can find and attach the file to a post.

Sorry for all you people who have dial-up but sometimes you have to actually
see the problem!

Solved it! Did a Google search and found a thread with a similar problem and
they talked about date format. I switched my date format from English
(Canada) to English (United States) and the Microsoft Spyware Beta loaded and
performed as it should. Thanks for hanging in there with me Richard Urban.
