beep sound

Help; I am using windows 2000.
I am having a very annoying beep sound each time I have
error or want to save a file etc...
Anyone knows how to disable it?

checked it.
this sound, I think come from the motherboard...

If it's coming from your motherboard, look in the BIOS.

Are you sure it's not coming from the case speaker ?? If
so, you can mute it by clicking on the sound icon in the
taskbar and selecting mute on the PC speaker.

Could you be more specific, control panel is not working.
I did that already.

Go to Control Panel -System - Hardware - Device Manager

Do show hidden devices - under Non- Plug & Player drivers-
Right click on Bleep and disable.

This should cure it!
