BCM toolbar does not appear in Outlook on Vista system

I have installed BCM on my system successfully (w/o errors) and it does not
appear in Outlook. FYI, I have installed this on my other pc with exactly
the same Outlook version, setup, etc. and it works fine.

I have followed all recommendations herein...BCM is not disabled, registery
key set at 3, set Outlook to open as Admin, I installed BCM as Admin,
etc...no luck.

I should note that this is a Vista system, whereas the other pc with BCM
working fine is an XP system. Is there something with Vista permissions that
is not allowing BCM to appear?

In normal circumstances, BCM should behave the same on Vista and Xp.

Try creating a new mail profile and opening Outlook with that profile.
If the BCM first use wizard shows, then there's something in your
original profile that's tells it not to run BCM.

New pst and email accounts, same result.

Upon changing back to my original pst, BCM appeared in the Mail Folders,
however, when I click on it, BCM appears to start, but the following error
appears:

BCM for Outlook could not complete your last action or actions

Unfortunately the "could not complete your last action" is BCM's
generic error message, when BCM didn't have anything more specific to
tell the user.

You could try turning on BCM logging (from the About dialog box),
reproduce the error, and see if the log file has anything more
specific.

Thank you for the suggestion, however, the About BCM does not show up as a
menu item under the Help menu.

I am so confused. I went as far as even copying my pst to my other pc and
BCM works fine. I have ACT! 10 installed...are there any known compatibility
issues between the two?

Last resort would be to uninstall and reinstall Office. If I do, how can I
be assured that there's no lingering files or reg enteries left behind during
the uninstall process, or will an uninstall be good enough?

BCM files will be installed under Program File\Microsoft Small Business
\Business Contact Manager, and in the Registry under Software\Microsoft
\Business Solutions eCRM\. Typically, after uninstalling, both should
be empty.
