BCM Online Error Message: going online has been cancelled, but you

J

Jay Robbins

The error message is 'going online has been cancelled, but you can continue
to work in the offline database.' I have SP1 installed. I have run office
diagnostics. The first couple of times I tried to connect, it asked me to
manually resolve conflicts. Now it says it's applying all of the changes,
but cancels at the last minute and gives me the above message.

I turned on loggins as suggested in another thread, and have included my log
below. There may be another issue in this error log: I had some reminders
pop up that I can't get rid of. One of them has to do with a ghost marketing
campaign that I can't see anywhere in BCM.

Thanks in advance for any help:

The first error looks like bad data:
[E] [13:42:18.9062500]Microsoft.Iris.ImportExportDataAccess:
Exception
creating campaign: This Marketing Campaign record cannot be saved
without a
title.

I don't know why BCM would let you save a campaign offline, and then
not let you sync it to the master db, but you can try looking through
your campaigns for one that looks suspicious and try deleting it -
although this is probably the ghost campaign youb refer to.

The error looks like a network connectivity issue; the machine with
the master db was unreachable.

Thanks Luther, but that's not it. The server (actually a PC serving as a
server) is available for all other data. It's just BCM that wasn't
connecting. And BCM connects, but then it cancels at the last minute after
analyzing all changes.

As far as the Marketing campaing is concerned, I don't have any campaigns at
all. I started one to 'play with,' but never saved it.
