BCDEDIT: osdevice & device

E

Edge30

Can anyone tell me what's the use of the parameters osdevice and device in
bcd? what are they for?
I installed Vista and XP images. But from bcd, XP partition is seens as
drive E.
This makes a problem for the XP partition because it was created from a C
drive.
Is there a way I can set up bcd so that when the XP boot loader is loaded it
assumes XP is on partition C instead of E?
Thanks
e.
