Basic Vista Games don't work

Hi. I just recieved my computer a day or so ago, and the built in games
(such as chess and hearts etc) do not work. They will load properly, and
sound will play, but the window of the game program is entirely black.

I would appreciate any help you could offer.

Update/Re-install the graphics driver.

You can either take it back and exchange it for one that does work,
since it is so new. Or you can download new drivers for your video card.
That should work for you.
