Basic help needed

Noel S Pamfree

I need to copy a VHS tape to a DVD but have no idea what software or cables
I need to do it.

I do have a copy of Sonic My DVD and think this will act as the software but
I don't know how to connect it to my computer.

Can someone tell me what sort of cable I would need?
Is it a USB connector at one end and a SCART at the other or what?

Thanks for any help,

Noel

If it's only one you need to do it's going to be a costly exercise if you
don't have one of the following,
Graphics card with tv-in.
Analogue capture card
Analogue to digital convertor
digital cam with av-in.

ANy of these can be used to get the vhs into the pc, then depending on which
one different software will be required to manage it. If you have, say which
and we can guide you through.

If you don't have any of these you'll need to buy one of them.
