Banners in Word and/or huge fonts

Are there any programs (or fonts) out there that would enable me to
print a banner in huge letters that would span several sheets of paper
coming out of my lj? There used to be many such for dot matrix printers. I
guess I could make do with a really huge font. The largest I have is 72
points which just isn't enough.

Hi Lew,

While it's true that Word can use larger font sizes (up to 1638 pt), it
would truncate any character that doesn't fit on a single page. Using
8.5x11" paper, 0.25" margins, and a condensed font such as Arial Narrow, you
can get up to about 750 pt before the W starts to be cut off at the right.

In addition to the link Frafi gave you, there's a free trial version of
PrintMaster Express at

Thanks to all who responded. Since reading these replies, I've used ms word
and discovered that ms publisher does an even better job at this.

Publisher has support for banners; Word does not.

Word's maximum page length is 22", so it was either (a) a rather short
banner or (b) pasted/taped together. Publisher includes support for banner
*paper* (for those printers that can handle it).
