bad sectors

Event viewer is reporting a hard disk error; "The device,
\Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block."

how can I marked the bad sectors permanent so that it
will not be used and Win2000 will skipped these bad
sectors.

You can probably run chkdsk, which should try and mark them as bad. The
