Bad Hard Drive

My hard drive went bad and had to be replaced and I want to know if it is
possible to recover info from that drive anyway? I did a backup before it
crashed but I still lost some info I need.

Install it as a slave if it can still be read.

Sometimes storing it in a plastic bag in the freezer overnight might give it
a little life so that you can get some files off of it.
