Backup won't connect to a NetCenter NAS

When setting up backup under Backup Status and Configuration->Set up
automatic file backup, I select On a network. Next I enter the UNC path I
want to save the backup to. When I press Next, I get an authentication
dialog. When I enter the username and password, I get an error dialog with
the following message, "The network share could not be accessed for the
following reason:

No mapping between account names and security ID's was done.
(0x80070534).

Please insure that the network location is valid."

The NetCenter can't be joined to the domain, but it does allow specifying a
workgroup. That is set to match the domain. The same logon credentials work
when connecting through Explorer.

Anyone know why authentication fails?

It might not be an authentication problem. When I was beta testing Vista, I
found out that that Vista [around RC1, so this info might not be current]
backup could only use network shares if run froim the command line.

The backup utility allows specifying a network share or burning to a CD or
DVD. When I specify the network share, I run into the authentication issue.

How do I run backup from the command line? The executable is not good old
ntbackup.exe, but sdclt.exe. If sdclt is run from the command line, it
brings up the GUI interface. I tried using /? to get help, nothing runs.

Having the same problem which I thought may be caused trying to backup my
notebook to NAS on home network and the notebook is setup on domain at work.
Let me know if you find a solution to the problem.

Thanks,
