Hi i am having XP PRO installed in my system when i am
trying to back up all information on my computer using a
cd i am getting error like
The backup file name could not be
used "D:\Backup.bkf" please ensure it is a valid path.
what should i do.should the back up be done only in the
floppy if so?it will take a lot number of floppies right?
can anyone tell me in detail about this matter as backup
is necessary in case of system failure
anyhelp would be appreciated.
Thanks.

The installed NTBackup that is included with XP cannot back u[p directly to
a CD-R/RW drive. You can back up to a folder first and then burn the file to
a CD. You may be better off trying a third party backup program that can
span disks since these files can be quiet large in XP.

Backup doesn't support burning to CD

backup to the hard drive eg c:\backup.dbf
then burn the file to cd in a seperate operation.
