the textured backround doesn't reach the edge of document. It appears to, but
when looking at print preview and once printed it has a white border.
Any help please,

Word's Print Preview displays what the printer driver has told it the
printer can print. Every printer has an irreducible minimum unprintable area
(required for paper handling). Even photo printers that can print
"borderless" may be able to do so only on smaller paper sizes (with a
special carrier), or there may be a setting in the printer Properties that
must be selected in order to print to the edge. Beyond that, if you want to
print "full bleed," you will have to do it the way commercial printers do:
print on oversized paper and trim.
