Backoffice SBS 4.5 -> Windows 2000 Advanced Server

T

Tom Findlay

Hello,
I know this question has been asked many times before but I would like to
be able to upgrade my Backoffice Small Business Server 4.5 to Windows 2000
Advanced Server. I know when you try to upgrade it says it can not carry on
because of SBS 4.5 but surely there is some way of fooling Windows 2000
setup in to thinking you just have NT 4 server is there?
Anyway, I thought I'd just ask before I start formatting, if you can
definitely tell me there is no way whatsoever then I shall start exmergeing
and backing up.
Thanks in advance for your help.

I don't believe that is a supported upgrade path.

Flattening and exmerge appears to be your only option.
