Backing up Outlook Express

I recently learned how to backup Outlook using PFbackup. My wife is using
Outlook Express, which doesn't appear to have a backup process. I exported
her files to Outlook, then backed up the resulting Outlook file. Is this the
simplest way to do it?

I would export the address book using the internal export feature in address
book and physically copy the express data files to a backup directory.
