Backing up by Exporting

Glyn

I am backing up my Outlook and Archive files by Exporting
to .pst files on a network PC. The exported file sizes are
different to the originals - is this expected? Is there a
better way to back up my data? Cannot copy because this
process is stopped by some comment that part of file or
programme is in use.
Thanks for any help.

Try closing Outlook and just copying your *.pst files to wherever you want
them copied. NEVER export when you can just copy.
