Background Picture

I would like to add a background picture (gif) to an interactive Excel chart
on my web site. But every time I insert the gif, it blocks out the chart so
only the picture is visible. I've tried making the gif transparent and I've
tried sending the picture to the back but this does not solve the problem.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Apply the image as a background to the html container containing the chart
- usually a div tag

I'm not that great with html coding. Is there an easier way? A direct
command within FrontPage for example?

There is no direct command.

I don't work with divs, only tables/cell, so you will need to wait for a reply for someone else.

What I'm trying to accomplish is to have a world map (gif file) appear as a
background behind this chart. It works fine in Excel but the background
disappears when I Save as Web Page.

Unless you need interactivity in the chart as part of OWC
- which will require Excel users to install the Active X OWC
- users w/o Excel can not see the chart
Suggest you save the chart as a .gif or .jpg from Excel and display it as such

The chart has to be interactive; this is the most important feature of this
chart. I've tried saving w/o interactivity and it saves as a web page from
Excel just fine, but unfortunately the background pic (gif) disappears when
I save the chart with interactivity.
