AwStats Interpretation

Jeff Farrar

I have 3 sites hosted with iPowerweb.com which use AwStats 6.0 to show the
statistics of the visitors to the site. I have been all over AwStats site
and forum but cannot find the answers to my questions.

My problem is that I would like to have an accurate count of visitors and
page hits but the AwStats software has some figures that I do not
understand. For example, o day, before the site was made publ;ic, I had 33
visits, 554 page count, and 1217 hits.

Secondly, it seems as thiough my biggest page hits are for:
1.) http://barbaramiller.org/_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.exe and
2.) http://barbaramiller.org/_vti_bin/fpcount.exe/

These two pges[?} a account for over 1300 of the 1600 page hits.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff

Stat applications, count FP somewhat as a browser, as well.

Every time you open or publish the site with FP, you are accessing Author.exe file.

Every page that has a FP hit counter, will access the fpcount.exe file.

Did you go to:
http://awstats.sourceforge.net/
Look at the documentation/FAQ?
Post to their forum?

This is really not a FP related issue.
