Why is it that I get an e-mailed announcement for a new reflist, but when I
run AdAware to update, or try to download the file direct from the web
site, I'm told there are no updated components? The new reflist is often
available only 24 hours later. Is there a better site to get them from than
the one that AdAware itself connects to?

MAN! They're really spitting them out these days.

I update everytime before I use it .. and sometimes
- even on the same day - I get two or more newer
virus definitions.

Yeah, that's what I do too. However, about once a week or so I update
Spybot, AdAware, AVG and "a squared antitrojan". Those are the only
programs I'm using right now.

I usually skip editor's folder (here Lavasoft) when
installing software. Does the autoit executable file
support a 'non-default' location of Ad-aware program ?

Thanks.

Hmm, not for now, but I am working on it. Perhaps to give an
option for the users to enter their own aww location. Just
give me a month or so :)

I would, but I never allow automatic updating because it's
disruptive. Thanks anyway though.

True, I understand that because I am on a dialup. Whenever I
get on, I get on for a reason and don't want my proper surfing
to be distrubed. In fact, my work around is to schedule a
commandline automatic dialup deep in the night and about a
minutes before the time I scheduled for the updates. Then,
schedule a hangup for about fifteen minutes later. Yet, of
course, this might not be a solution for people who pay by
minutes for dialup.
