AVI to MPEG

Can you please let me know how to convert AVI files to
MPEG using Microsoft Movie Maker.

I dont think you can do it with Movie Maker. You would need a third party software for that, TMPGENC looks like a likely candidate..

Download and install G-Spot Codec Analyzer.... It will tell you what codecs
you need for the file(s) in question.

Once it's told you which compression codec is used in the AVI, then you can
download that (probably DiVX from www.divx.com)... and that is how you will
be able to play the AVI files again.
