AVG registration nag popup

"It appears that AVG is being more aggressive about licensing
restrictions. My daughter and I each have 2 computers doing things
here. She has AVG on one of hers, and I have it on one of mine. My
other runs ETrust, I'm not sure about hers. Her AVG updates
automagically every morning, and when she came home tonight there was
a popup window from AVG saying that the 'Free" license is only for
single home computers and she should upgrade to the paid version.
There was a button labeled "Become legal"."

Anyone else been so nagged?

Ron :)

Hi Ron,

I am not using AVG now, but there is a thread in AVG forum concerning
this.

Are you sure you downloaded the "free" version and not the "Trial Pro
Version"
(I have two PCs with AVG Free and don't get any nags)

Well documented now.
If you are running off domain server you were getting the nag.
Now, though, it is supposed to be turned off.
(as per Grisoft person posting on AVG forums).

Sunny, I use KAV. I brought this issue up in another thread, and I
moved it to its own thread in order to prevent the hijacking of the
other thread. I am glad to see that Grisoft is on top of it.

Speaking of Grisoft, now that Ewido AT/AS is part of the Grisoft
family, are there plans to add a PFW to the Suite? PFWs may be snake
oil, but it seems that every vendor wants one. I use one myself (S-K
4.3) for some unknown reason. [g]

I have written Grisoft and asked for a clrification of the license agreement. I worded as a
persdon with a family who has not yet installed their software but has a home lAN with
parental and childern's computers on the LAN and wanting to install AVG Free on it.

We'll see IF or what they reply with.

UPDATE:

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the fact that Grisoft never replied to my query !
