You need to edit the SCHEDULE.

No.

To stop the automatic system scan, you will have to open the "AVG Control
Centre", click on the "Scheduler" module, select "Test plan in Basic mode",
click "Edit Schedule", finally uncheck "Periodically start scheduled
antivirus test". Remember to periodically run a full scan manually.
