AVG / Avast

Hi, i currently run Windows XP (SP2) and currently run AVG anti-virus and
have decided to download Avast anti-virus. I was going to have just one
operating and use the second one as a secondery scanner occasionnaly to help
ensure the computer is virus free, as I heard that you can run two virus
scanners as long as you turn one off first. I was wondering what would be
the best to run as the main scanner AVG or Avast.

AVG for "On Access" scanning and AVAST for "On Demand" scanning.
