AVG and <<<

1. I have just got Vista and Webmail. I've downloaded AVG that I had on my
old machine (free version) but it appears NOT to be scanning emails. I can't
figure out what I have done wrong. I never got any configuration message when
I installed AVG. It's up to date and has updated itself twice since
installation but no mails have been certified as being scanned.

2. How on Windows mail do I find the option to turn the <<< marks off when I
reply to an email?

Thanks in advance
Sherry

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident program.
Beside that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail.
