Avant browser bugs?

I installed the latest version of Avant browser (10, build 027), but
it appears to have bugs I had not seen before (i.e. new version worse
that its predecessor). The right click menu does not work properly and
the integration of my downloadmanager does not function (it did work
perfectly in the previous Avant version).
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a remedy?

My right click menu seems to work correctly. Exactly what should I be
looking for?

I don't use a download manager, because I have a high-speed connection. Have
you tried using the recommended download
manager?http://www.avantbrowser.com/download.html

Also you can click on help in Avant Browser and send a comment to the
author.

I haven't had any problems with the right-click feature. I haven't yet
installed the download manager. What I have noticed is the extreme
usage of RAM. There are five open windows in Avant right now and two of
them update automatically every 20 minutes. It seems to be using 33 MB
of RAM right now on my W2K box. The screensaver is moving like
molasses. My machine is 1Ghz, 512 RAM, 64 MB video. There are two open
applications, Avant and OE6. Maybe 33 MB isn't high for 5 windows. I
might try opening 5 IE windows and see what happens then.

I reverted back to previous version of Avant because I couldn't get the
google toolbar to show in the latest release.

I reverted back to previous version of Avant because I couldn't get the
google toolbar to show in the latest release.

This is a known problem and it shows up when the second window is open. If
you still don't see it you need to properly enable it.

Right click menu works for me. FlashGet is recommended for a download
manager and can be found here:

I personally don't use one. Also you can go to the Avant forums and post
your bug reports there.

Either it did not appear or it disappeared before I have had time to
click on an item. I fixed it by uninstalling Avant and cleaning the
registry with a registry cleaner and then reinstalling Avant.

There is no off line help, a serious fault imho.

The registration fee is US$29.95.

I would worry about it using 33 megs of RAM. That's not bad. I've seen
Firefox and Mozilla get up over 100 megs at times. 33 is nice... :)

It looks like the newest update--build 029--has fixed the memory leak
problem I experienced.
