autorefresh, pivot table expert help please

help please.

I have a pivot table based on an link to an access
query. I've set the pivot table option to "refresh on
open" and "background query". I want to post the pivot
table in html form for our intranet (used publish as web
page feature with autorepublish)

If I open the excel file it updates the pivot from access
data. If I open just the html file I just see the last
saved changes in the excel file. Is there a way to make
opening the html file trigger an update data in the
parent excel file?
