Automatically schedule appt from public to private calendar

After going from Exchg 2000 to 2003, we lost the ability
for folks who schedule appointments on a public calendar
to have it automatically schedule on their personal
calendar. Now they just an email (not an appointment).

Anyone know how to add it back?

Sounds like there was some kind of automation
(Event script, Admin rule on PF, etc) that did
not get moved to the new server.

How did this get used before? Meeting request
sent to the SMTP of the PF? or ?
