Automatically Running A Program On Startup?

As Vista won't allow me to automatically run a program on startup without
blocking it (for some reason some idiot at Microsoft thought it would be a
good idea to not let the end user decide what programs are allowed to run!)
, I have tried to run it from Task Scheduler as shown in this link:

The problem is it keeps failing. Looking at the history in Task Scheduler,
it keeps logging the task as failed (as follows):
-Task triggered on logon
-Task Engine received message to start task
-Task Started
-Action started
-Action failed to start
-Action start failed

Anyone have any ideas on what to try to get this to work, as this is the
first time I have used Task Scheduler.

Why can't you put a shortcut to the program in the Startup folder?

If you always open the same programs after starting your computer, such as a
web browser or e-mail program, you might find it convenient to have them
start automatically when you start Windows. Programs or shortcuts placed in
the Startup folder will run whenever Windows starts.

Click the Start button , click All Programs, right-click the Startup
folder, and then click Open.

Open the location that contains the item to which you want to create a
shortcut.

Right-click the item, and then click Create Shortcut. The new shortcut
appears in the same location as the original item.

Drag the shortcut into the Startup folder.

The next time you start Windows, the program will run automatically.

You can also make an individual file, such as a word-processing document,
open automatically by dragging a shortcut of the file into the Startup

Yes, but Vista Home Premium (which I have) blocks them!

Example: I have a time synchronizer and I want it to start when
Windows starts and adjust the time. If I run it without admin's rights
it starts unblocked, but won't adjust the time, because THAT needs the
admin's rights. If it's "tagged" to run as admin, Vista blocks it.

There doesn't seem to be "never block this program, damn it" option. SO
annoying.

Oh, forgot to mention, in this screen shot their is no gap between 'program'
and 'files'.

With an underscore between, it still comes up with the same message.

It needs a space.
ProgramFiles does not = Program Files
