Automatically rebooting win 2000 once a day at a specific time

I have extracted the shutdown.exe from the resource kit, created a folder in
the root of C (restart) and put the shutdown.exe in it along with a batch
file called restart.bat.In the file is /L /Y /R /t:05. Then I configured a
scheduled task to run the shutdown.exe and this where I get foggy on what to
do! How do you set up permission's so that task will run for every one no
matter who is logged in ( on the domine or not on the domine) and what should
be in the " run in" dialog box?
It seems to be buggy ...... I can execute the batch file not sure how many
times 5 to 10 and then the file doesn't work any more .......... then while
tiring to figure out what happened it started to work.
My current condition is that the batch file works but the scheduled task
does not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jim

Yes, executing the batch is correct. Use any account that has local
administrative rights. Scheduled Tasks|Advanced|View Log may provide some
details.

Thank you for the info!
I discovered that the scheduled task would work fine as long as there are
little to no applications or programs running. If the task tries to run while
an application or program is running the task will no longer work. I have to
delete the task, reboot and then configure the task again. Then it works
again. This is repeatable.
Is there a possibility that the batch file needs more commands to close
applications and programs?

Does any one know what would make the task fail or not work after failing
to complete it's task ...... is there a reset etc.? Jim

No way for us to know without knowing what the batch does. Scheduled
Tasks|Advanced|View Log may provide some
details.
