Automatically changing an e-mail address - how to STOP from happen

When I enter one e-mail address into the "TO" field, Outlook automatically
changes it to another e-mail address in my Contacts. It will not let me
input the address that I want to use. How do I get Outlook to stop doing
this?

It is suggesting a name, not preventing you from finishing the address. Just
keep typing the correct address and the suggestion will disappear. You can
turn this off in Email Options, Advanced by unchecking Suggect names when
addressing email.

Mary:

Thanks for your quick response. I know about the "suggestions," and that's
not what's happening here. I type in e-mail address "a" into the "To" field.
I hit "Send." Then person "a" later tells me that she has not received the
e-mail at her work address "a" but at home address "b". I check in the "Sent
Messages" folders, and, sure enough, it shows that I sent it to address "b".
I tried to change this at her "card" in Contacts, but when I type in address
"a", Outlook changes it to "b" as soon as I tab away from that field.

Somehow, Outlook is set to automatically change "a" to "b", and not to let
anyone e-mail to address "a". Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
