automatic updates

In my control panel I have the automatic updates turned
on, but I never get any updates. I was concerned about
the new "worm" problem so I went to the MS site and
downloaded the latest patch and noticed there were 38
other downloads available. How come none of those were
downloaded on their own if I had it set up to do so?

Do you have it set to automatically download the updates
and istall them on the schedule you specify?

If not, then they were either never downloaded because
you had it selected to notify you before download. Or
they were downloaded but never installed.

If its either one of these, whenever a little globe with
a windows logo pops up in your system tray... click on
it, it will give you the options to install or download
them.
