Automatic Update

Everytime I boot up Automatic Update has the same files to install on my
computer. Several times I have let it do it's thing and then restart. But
it is right back. If I do nothing the pop-up keeps coming on every few
minutes telling me to re-start my computer. I have go to
%windir%\SoftwareDistribution and deleted the contents of the Download folder
but the next time I boot it the same stuff is back with the same annoying
pop-up.

I have let it do its thing and even gone through the manual process of
updating from Windows Update but it's still there. How do I make it operate
properly? I do not want to turn off Auto Update permanently.

Here is a link to the windows update newsgroup on the web. I suggest you
look through the posts there to see if your question has already been
covered, and if not, then post a new one.
