Automatic Completing e-mail address

New to Vista, using Windows Mail. When I compose a new email the automatic
complete e-mail address, although checked, does not fill in the address. I
have to import addresses from the Contacts. Any ideas how to get Windows
Mail to integrate with Contacts automatically?

It's a known bug. Addresses will begin auto-completing after you've
sent to them at least once.
This bug has been fixed in Windows Live Mail.

It's very erratic. It will work once in awhile. Frequently, it will not. This is some "upgrade" from Outlook Express, which worked perfectly.

It only works to the last twenty-nine recipients.

Technically it is not a bug, simply a poor design decision.
If WM's features don't meet your needs, try a different email
program, like Windows Live Mail.

I doubt Microsoft will ever fix this substandard program. It is intended
to force you into their new OUTLOOK that, I understand, contains the
replacement for the XP OUTLOOK EXPRESS. When you note that your MS programs
that came with your computer, such as WORD, have an expiration date forcing
you to purchase MS OFFICE SUITE you may also note that for another $50.00 or
so you can purchase a version containing OUTLOOK.
You can also use MS's buddy program MSN for another $20.00 per month.
I have both Verizon and MSN with Verizon Fios but its a dance around the
May Pole to access your e-mail with these programs.
Not sure if Pegasus, which is a good e-Mail program, will work with Vista
as they have succeeded in blocking out most competitive access programs.

I did finally figure out how to transfer OUTLOOK EXPRESS Address Book from
my old XP Computer to the new Vista laden machine if anyone is interested.
