Automate Import of Flat File into Excel

I have to create an Excel spreadsheet from a machine-
generated, flat, fixed-format ASCII file. Is there a way
to AUTOMATICALLY import this to Excel, complete with
column-headers? (The import-wizard is fine, but this
tedium would be nice to avoid. . .)

Hi
what do you mean with 'automatically'.
One way could be to record a amcro while you do a manual import
